Just a little bit about me...

My name is Katrina Tingley. I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I have been baking since I was 3 years old, with my Mom. I started baking on my own when I was about 8 years old. I started my cottage business in 2016. I've made many cakes and other baked goods for lots of satisfied and repeat customers. I have a lot of recipes that I love and I'm always looking for new ones, as well as, new techniques. I have worked with a variety of icings and decorating products. I tend to be a traditionalist, but as you can see in this photo I can "think outside of the box" when asked.
---Your eyes are not deceiving you. That is a blueberry pie on top of the bottom layer if this wedding cake. The bride requested a blueberry wedding pie.
What you should know...
As you begin to plan your wedding, remember that the cake of your dreams can be yours. I have many years of experience with doing just that. I specialize in traditional, but, in a nutshell, if you can describe it, I can make it happen beautifully and tastefully.
I started this cottage bakery with one clear vision - to share my true love of baking and knowing that delight will come from the one about to consume it.
What is the most important thing that can come out of my kitchen? It's smiles. When I create something that makes a person smile, it makes it so worth it. That same warmth and happiness is kept in my kitchen and is passed on to others.
I have created many wedding cakes large and small. Wonderfully moist cake with real butter in the homemade buttercream icing. Up to five cake flavors depending on the size of the cake overall can be arranged. Decorated in the fashion that reflects your style and desire. That goes for all of the cakes I bake ....whether it is for a birthday, anniversary, or any other celebration or an ordinary day that you want a dessert. Dessert cakes like Applesauce N'Spice, Banana Walnut, Pineapple Upside Down just to name a few. Yes, I have made gluten free and vegan cakes from scratch.Sweet breads, some of which are almost like coffee cakes really, Cinnamon Walnut Crunch Bread and there are many more, all moist and decadent.
Something I call soup breads, such as Jalapeno Cheddar, Onion, and one of my family favorites, Irish Soda Bread and the flavors go on. All are perfect with your favorite soup or chili. Or lets put Buttermilk biscuits in your bread basket.
Homemade Cinnamon Rolls- drizzled with that buttercream icing. I even make a version of peanut butter icing and all with lots of cinnamon inside.
Did I say pie? Nothing ends a good dinner like a fresh apple pie or any other that is your favorite. Yes, order one and take it home today. They are big enough for everybody.
Fudge brownies that will make any chocolate lover take notice and sigh. Teaming with nuts or not. Forget the frosting on these brownies..... unless you want to go over the top with chocolate buttercream whatever is your fancy.
The old favorite cookies such as, chocolate chip, peanut butter, sugar with icing, snickerdoodles, oatmeal raisin, shortbread, pecan sandies, molasses........and on and on.
